About the Founder
Ira Shorter is a technology innovator and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience leading complex projects and building new products in the telecommunications and home automation industries. As an African American founder, Ira has seen firsthand the challenges that underrepresented groups face in accessing resources, funding, and support in the tech world.
After a successful career managing high-impact projects for companies such as AT&T, Lucent Technologies, CA Technologies, and EZLO, Ira launched ITS2X: Innovate, Transform, Scale to help bridge the gap for entrepreneurs who are too often left behind. Ira’s career has taken him around the world as an expatriate, leading projects in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and China. This international experience has given him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs in diverse markets.
Under his leadership, ITS2X: Innovate, Transform, Scale has delivered cutting-edge solutions—from set-top boxes to IoT hardware and software—while partnering with global technology leaders. Now retired from corporate life, Ira is dedicated to empowering the next generation of diverse entrepreneurs, ensuring that innovation and opportunity are accessible to all.
